FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Have more questions? We would love to hear from you! Email or call us anytime.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
We are currently in-network with most major commercial insurance plans.
DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?
Yes, we will need a prescription from your child's primary care physician or specialist. The prescription should include: child's name and date of birth, the diagnosis codes, any precautions, and the signature & date by the physician.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL MY CHILD NEED?
This will be determined after your child is evaluated, and set with your child's individual plan of care that will be discussed with you by your therapist.
WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE INSURANCE?
We do offer cash-pay options; please inquire. If we are out of network with your insurance provider you would be responsible for paying all costs upfront, and we can provide you with a Superbill so that you can try to submit for reimbursement; this will be the parent/caregiver's responsibility.
WILL I BE ABLE TO GO BACK WITH MY CHILD?
In most cases we invite our parent(s), no more than 2 caregivers, back to our evaluation or treatment sessions so that we may educate you on ideas and home programs. However, there are some instances where your child may be more cooperative without your presence in which case we would bring you in the room the last 10-15 minutes for wrap up and education for your home program.
WHAT IS PEDIATRIC PHYSICAL THERAPY?
Pediatric physical therapy sessions look and feel like play in order to help your child develop their gross motor skills. Babies learn new skills by repetition, doing things over and over again, but sometimes some children need help to gain these skills. We find ways to work on strengthening or achieving a skill through play & movement.
